New Delhi (India), July 6: Dr Sabeen Ahsan has made a name for herself not just in India but also abroad. The social worker, psychologist, motivational speaker, social health influencer, philanthropist and entrepreneur has also interacted with some of the biggest celebrities from Bollywood. In a conversation with eminent journalist Faridoon Shahryar, she narrated her experience of meeting the late superstar, Dilip Kumar.
Dr Sabeen said, “Dilip Kumar saab gave me a lot of blessings and said, ‘Zindagi mein aage badh kar bahut achha kaam karo’.” She further revealed, “Similarly, I met Sonu Sood ji. He has also done a lot of social work. In fact, he told me, ‘Sabeen, aapke is nek kaam mein main aapke saath hoon’.”
Talking about herself, Dr Sabeen Ahsan stated, “I am a psychologist and also the president of Being Alive Foundation. Through this organization, we strive to make the lives of women, senior citizens, young school-going girls etc. better. We majorly focus on women empowerment, skill development etc. among other areas. I have also visited slums where I undertake mental health programmes. We have also conducted sessions for those in the police, army etc.”
She continued, “Then, I started my motivational talks where I also added a psychology angle. These videos helped spread our message to millions of people.”
At one point in the video, she also credited her deceased parents, “They were down to earth and I have imbibed that quality from them. Many wonder why I am so humble all the time. But that’s how I am and there’s no hidden agenda. Also, I believe that acche logon ko acche log hi milte hai.”
Dr Sabeen Ahsan also narrated that she was an average student, she was the favourite of her school teachers in her hometown Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh due to her good nature. She also thanked her parents for these qualities that she believes have helped her achieve success.
